MOVE ASSESSMENT

At MOVE your goals are our goals

A 30-minute, one-on-one session with a MOVE coach is included for all new member.
Here’s what you can expect:

A Bit Of Paperwork, not too much, we promise!

Prior to your first session you will be emailed two questionnaires: Exercise and Injury History & Nutrition and Lifestyle. We ask that you come to your appointment with these forms completed so we can get the full picture regarding your health. At your first meeting we will analyze three key areas: Movement, Nutrition/Lifestyle and Goals. Each of these pillars is equally important to your long-term success! This crucial data will help us track your progress and so we can review it together every few months, and celebrate!

SHOW US HOW YOU MOVE

At your first session you will complete a movement screen analysis in which we will assess your range of motion, mobility and stability through a series of movement patterns. This helps us identify any imbalances or dysfunctions you may have and helps us ensure you attend the right class. By reviewing this with your exercise/injury questionnaire, we will have an excellent baseline from which to improve and track your progress!

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

They say nutrition and lifestyle are upwards of 70-80% of your efforts so we don’t want you to waste any time! We teach you what 80% will actually look like. At MOVE, it’s not about perfection, it’s all about balance.

We will review your nutrition/lifestyle questionnaire and provide personalized feedback along with some quick tips to start you on the right track.

GOALS!

People who set goals are far more likely to achieve them than those that don’t. Whether your health goals are to improve strength, have more energy, eat better or manage stress, our number one goal is to help you achieve yours! We will identify your top three priorities and (most importantly) set realistic and attainable goals.

NOTE: While many people tell us they want to achieve weight loss, at MOVE this is never the focus of our efforts and we don’t use scales or callipers. We believe losing weight should never be the focus of your hard work, just a pleasant side effect.
